World’s Smallest Wearable Camera Streams Your Life
Strapping on a wearable, hands-free camera means never missing a moment, literally. That’s the goal behind the $169 LifeLogger. Currently available for pre-order through Kickstarter, the 5-MP lightweight camera should ship in October or November.
LifeLogger records up to 8 hours of hands-free footage, and works with your Android smartphone or iPhone via an app. At first glance, it looks a bit like Google Glass without the extra functionality or the $1,500 price tag. The company bills its product as the world’s smallest and lightest wearable camera ever, but doesn’t say exactly what it weighs or what the dimensions are.
The 5-MP camera can shoot pictures at a 4:3 ratio and videos at 720p and 30 fps. Images are captured in JPEG and videos in MP4. The photo burst mode can capture up to 10 pics per second. The time lapse mode will shoot one photo every minute. A 32GB SD card comes preloaded.
