Don't leave home without it

We're sorry, but you no longer have an excuse to sit around at home in your underwear surrounded by a growing collection of used coffee cups and a small battalion of ants just because you're blogging. LifeLogger is now browsable and brilliantly consumable from your mobile phone, and the thing about mobile phones is they're always ready to go out and do sociable mobile stuff. So you can be out there in the thick of things and you'll still be able to browse the latest photos and blog entries on LifeLogger, search tags, find friends, and browse LifeLogs and latest comments. You can even log in to upload media and comment on entries. Just punch http://lifelogger.com into your mobile browser and you'll be right where the action is. We realize the best thing about being mobile is obviously mobility, but we can't help feeling the fresh cream on this piece of cake has got to be the fact that your mobile's wallpaper will never get stale. Just select a photo (from the hundreds of thousands on LifeLogger) that makes you happy, download it into your phone, and it'll be ready to serve some wallpaper time. Sweet. All you need is a mobile phone with data access (GPRS/EDGE/3G) and an XHTML compliant browser and you're all set to enjoy our new lightweight, super portable LifeLogger. Now go put some clothes on and get out into the sunshine!

They say tags make us smarter

Okay, so we still don't know exactly who this mysterious collective we call 'they' are, but that doesn't stop us from quoting stuff 'they' say. Like 'They say we only use ten percent of our brain'. Whatever it is, quoting is a great and powerful thing because it helps us appear effortlessly brilliant just by nonchalantly injecting others' epiphanies into our daily conversations. And of course, some quotes can be very inspiring and can greatly enhance the lives of others. Also, let us not forget - chicks dig it. Our renewed preoccupation with quotes have made them the order of the day in LifeLogger right now, so we've made it our latest Featured Tag. You're welcome to contribute your favourite, most inspiring, most eyebrow raising, stomach splitting, and nod-inducing quotes. Just key your quote in as a blog entry, tag it with any of these words: "quote, quotes, quotation, lyrics, sayings, proverb" and it will be listed on the Featured Tags list for all to reap. Now that's what we call shared wisdom.

Sentimental over monumental

We at LifeLogger have a pathological obsession with small stuff. We are plagued with the sentimental belief that the small stuff is what builds the big stuff, and the heart of LifeLogger lies in the small stuff. And because we can't stop going on about it, here's some of the small stuff that keep us in love with LifeLogger:

  • Default settings for tags and albums

This little treat resides in your My Account > Preferences section. Setting default tags and albums for your entries enables them to be tagged and sorted into albums automatically as they enter your LifeLog. It's blissful hands-free management! That means less work, more play for you. This is especially tasty when paired with mobile blogging, because it holds off the bad taste in the mouth that you can get from tediously over-punching the microscopic keys of your oh-so-hip mobile phone.

  • On-the-spot edits

Gotta love how the little editing box just appears when you click on your Shoutbox message. You can change it every day just because it's so ridiculously easy. And how about on-the-spot edits for entries too, huh? Clicking on the entry title or the little 'Edit body' link to tweak it right there, right then? You gotta say that's pretty neat. Laziness is truly the loving mother of invention.

  • Slideshow options

This one has that 'one is good, more is better' appeal. Hey, we have moods, we have preferences, we have favorites, and we have days of unashamedly petty demands. That's why we need 4 slideshow options to be happy campers. What will it be today? Standard, Simpleviewer, Autoviewer, or Postcardviewer? Just select the viewer of your choice from the lineup at the top right of your slideshow page. Would you like a sundae with that?

  • Rotate and flip

We love this because it's the only feature that can make your photos behave like a seal in Sea World. Got a photo that needs to go from portrait to landscape? No sweat. Wanna flip a photo? Just say which way. You'll find this feature on the action list on the right of your individual entry page, happy to be taken for granted until it's needed. You don't even have to flick it a fish.

  • The mighty WYSIWYG editor

How can you not love an editor who doesn't call you up after hours to bug you about deadlines? The situation just gets ridiculous when it obediently helps you dress your text, insert images, make things colourful, insert links, and perform all sorts of other cool things on your blog entry/graffiti just so you won't have to dirty your fingers on codes. Come on people, give some love to the WYSIWYG editor.

Happy LifeLogging!
