Here's looking at you
Cool capture thanks to difff.lifelogger.com LifeLogger is hiring! If you've ever had a calling, a dream, or a little voice in your head that longs to do great, big, amazing things, then we have an echo for you. LifeLogger is growing quick as a noisy 2-year-old and we're looking for extraordinary individuals to join our team. If you're passionate, determined, enthusiastic, and undaunted by ideas of sea monsters and hours of gruelling, fulfilling work, then we want you right here, right now! Find your bliss in one of our job openings:
Oh yeah, it helps if you love LifeLogger and actually enjoy working with other human beings in a non-nasty/totalitarian/violent enviroment. Seal your scented resumes with a kiss and email them to jobs@lifelogger.com with your desired position in the subject line. Show yourselves, badge-ersNo more bellyaching about badge-deficiency around here. We know you have a sparkling, exciting life full of muse-worthiness and many blogs to prove it, so we're all for your parade of badges. That's why we've extended our support of badges beyond the simple image link variety (which you can insert painlessly by pasting the code into your Look & Feel > Graffiti section) to the fancier, content-pulling Javascript variety. Right now we're supporting 6 Javascript badges:
To insert one of these badges, go to Look & Feel > Snippets > Badges and paste the badge's code into the indicated textbox. But let's not underestimate the coolness of non-Javascript badges – They can be quite a blast too! We've poked around and found some you may want to experiment with. Check 'em out and indulge the Boy Scout in you. Ready to slideRemember the new slideshow options we were going on about in our previous newsletter? (No? Nevermind). Anyway, we've been working on a few new slideshow viewers for you and now we're all done, so you get to choose between 4 different viewers for your photo flipping pleasure – Standard, AutoViewer, SimpleViewer, and PostcardViewer. Just click on the options laid out for you at the top right of your slideshow page to switch between views. Spoilt rotten, we say. What's your cover? This one goes out to all of you who've been wondering how to set customized covers for your albums. This is a brand new mini-feature, so if you couldn't figure out how to do this before, don't be too hard on yourself – it's really because the option didn't exist. But now it does – and here's how you do it: Go to Albums, select an album of your choice by clicking on the album title, then click on the View All tab to view its contents. Select a photo from the list of contents by clicking on the checkbox next to it, then choose 'Set as album cover' from the dropdown menu provided. And there you have it. No rocket science there. Do remember that only photos can be used as album covers (videos won't stay put and audio/text/bookmarks... just won't make sense). And you can't set album covers for Smart Albums. That's the problem with smart things. They tend to choose their own covers. Be nice to your friendsHey, remember the people who listen to you whine endlessly about no-good lovers who ditch you in times of need, cover for you when you're naughty, and tell you when you have a booger on your nose? Yeah, your friends. They need your love. So give them some by inviting them to join you on LifeLogger. It's more fun when they're around and you know it. Plus, everybody gets more stamps – You get an additional 150 stamps monthly every time a friend of yours joins you, and your friend gets an additional 150 stamps monthly upon signup. That's an extra 30 gigs of free uploads monthly for you guys right off the bat. Live it up! Happy LifeLogging!
